Where can I get support? OIT offers Full Support for NVivo. You can also visit NVivo’s Support page or watch tutorials from QSR International’s YouTube channel. How can I learn it? For UTK, OIT offers workshops on NVivo each semester, and you can schedule a one-on-one tutorial any time by calling the OIT HelpDesk at 86. For UTK, NVivo is also available on OIT’s server.

The download and installation instructions are at OIT’s software download page. Click the File tab, point to Help, click Manage License and then click Extend License. Licenses are valid for 12 months and you must have a valid student email and ID to purchase. When your time-limited license expires, you can extend it by purchasing a new license key. Students are limited to one license per transaction and each license must be purchased by the intended end user.

Where can I run it? NVivo is available at no additional charge to UTK, UTC, UTHSC, and UT-Southern faculty, staff, and students for installation on university-owned and personally-owned Windows PCs and Macs. If you upgrade your NVivo edition, you keep the same license key. Use that benefits outside organizations requires the purchase of a commercial license. What can I use it for? Students, faculty, and staff can use NVivo for university-related academic or administrative purposes.
